Each piece is one of a kind, available in store or online. Tell us the piece and budget you have in mind; we will respond from the atelier, with its provenance. Specimen artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity; no certificate is issued for a bare specimen.

Prices vary per work; an approximate range is fine.
Cash on delivery is available only for orders delivered within Japan. The maximum amount payable by cash on delivery is set out in our Legal Notice. Works marked “on inquiry” are arranged by payment link or bank transfer after consultation. Payment methods for live beetles are set out at insect.herculeslabo.com.

For Overseas Collectors

On International Delivery

International delivery of our specimen artworks and bare specimens is offered to a defined list of countries and regions. That list and the shipping charges are set out in our Legal Notice, and the countries on it can be selected as your destination at checkout. Where the subtotal of the works reaches the threshold we set, the piece is sent by specialist fine-art transport and we provide an individual quotation that includes shipping. Living specimens are available within Japan only.

Import duties & taxes (please read before ordering)

Prices and shipping do not include import VAT, customs duties, or clearance fees charged by your destination country. As the importer, you are responsible for these charges, which your carrier or customs office will collect before delivery.

For fine-art pieces, most countries charge little or no customs duty (for specimen-based decorative art this is not yet settled) but do apply import VAT (e.g. UK 5%, France 5.5%, Italy 5%, Germany 7%). We will send you an estimated landed cost for your country before we ship — your order proceeds only after you confirm. Refusing delivery does not waive these charges. Questions?
